Currently, the best method for me to do business is for my potential customers to simply e-mail me with their requests, and we'll figure the details out from there. There's no real way for me to give any average prices yet, since this business is so new to me (most of my work thus far has been free to friends and family). So upon receiving a description of your project, I'll discuss with you to find an agreeable price.
Eventually, as I do more jobs and figure out the average prices I'm charging others, I'll be able to come up with some rough estimates to display here.
Note: I'm willing to work in almost any media and to try to tackle almost any project, including things that aren't shown on this site. So don't feel limited by the categories or examples displayed here. If you've got something in mind that's not represented here, still feel free to open an order. I'll likely take on the job. If it's something completely outside of my capabilities or resources, I'll simply and politely let you know that I regretfully can't help you. Chances are, though, that I'll accept the challenge. So it can't hurt to ask!
In your e-mail, you should try to be as descriptive of what you want as possible. If I need further clarification, I'll just ask for the details I need in a follow-up (especially if the job needs background reference material, like photographs or logos and such). Once I've got enough info to decide a price I think is fair, I'll let you know and see if you agree. I don't really want to be too soft on the prices I set (hopefully I'm fair enough to begin with, plus it opens the door for people to try to take advantage of my good nature...lol), but I'm open to some negotiation.
Either way, though, you'll find that I'll generally charge much less than most other sources of this kind of work.
Due to the nature of these types of projects, payment up front is the best for me. After all, all of them will take time and some of them will require additional materials to be purchased (especially in the case of sculpted pieces). However, if this is a sticking point for you (hey, can't always trust everyone, right?), I'm open to other alternatives (perhaps half now, half upon completion? perhaps some other deal?).
As for payment type, I prefer PayPal. I'll accept Money Orders by mail as well. I'll probably even accept personal checks, though this would hopefully be a last resort (it's not that I don't trust you, specifically, but one never knows).
Once all of the important details have been hammered out, I'll begin working. I'll show you my progress periodically if the project is lengthy, or simply show you a preview of the finished product if it's a short one. We'll consider that point to be a "rough draft", open entirely to further input and modification if it's not quite what you desire (at no further charge in most cases!). I strive for complete customer satisfaction, so I'll work until you're happy with what you see.
Well, that's about all. Sorry for the unprofessional-ness of this process, but remember I'm new at this and I'm simply not a professional. : )
So if you've got a job for me, please feel free to contact me!
