I have no formal training. I have no professional experience. I am but a lowly, self-taught hobbyist with talents to share.
In addition (and perhaps more importantly), I am an artist, but I'm not an artiste. You know the type. I'm not one of them. I've never really understood their way of over-thinking about art. To me, art only has whatever meaning the viewer puts into it. I simply strive to make things look nice.
So, then, why should anyone choose my services? Well, because the price is right.
For hobbyist workmanship, you'll pay hobbyist prices. Professional services in the design fields can run many hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars, especially for web design. This might be fine for those individuals or companies out there with some money to invest in these projects, but what about the rest of us? What about the kids who want to start up an MMORPG Guild page? What about the family that wants to put up a photo album site for far-away relatives? What about the kid that wants a "sig" image to use on a web forum? What about the person that wants to have a present custom-made for a loved one? What about someone that wants to spruce up their MySpace page? The list goes on...
For most of these people, paying professionals to do this work is out of the question.
And that's why I'm here. I want to put my talents to work for the average Joes and Janes out there, and earn some spare cash in doing so.
