Here is a list of all kinds of little tidbits of info that most might not know...

Influences, cultural references, plot holes, etc... All of the little things that don't really fit into the site anywhere else...lol

It's pretty empty so far... But as I go on with the series summaries, I'll run across all kinds of things to include...

-Dragon Ball was influenced in part by a Jackie Chan movie (The Drunken Master)... This was stated in an interview with Toriyama...

-The flying turtle the Elder rides on his way to the Ox King's mountain is a reference to Gamera, the giant flying turtle included in the Godzilla movies and spinoffs...

-The kamehameha is named after a Hawaiian king (pronounced Kamayamaya)... It also means "Turtle Destruction Wave" (Kame Hame Ha)... The name for this attack was devised by Toriyama's wife...

-Toriyama includes himself in the series periodically... Not really himself, but a little robotic representation of himself... The first appearance is when goku takes Turtle to the Ocean... In a palm tree on the beach is a little robot (the Toriyama Bot) that says:

-Which brings another point... Penguin Village is the primary location of another popular Toriyama manga (which was also turned into an anime), Dr. Slump... He includes references to it multiple times in the series, even having Goku meet the main character, Arale later on in the series...
